    3. Good day Does anybody know if there is someone who has researched or is researching the Fortuin family in South Africa? Charles and Harry were brothers, Charles Jnr was better known as Lofty. He married Thelma Tate and they had a daughter Dawn Elizabeth Barkway (my fianc?'s mother) Lofty and Thelma divorced in 1947. I did find another divorce for Lofty in 1955 from a Gloria Donaldson born Bennett. When Lofty died he was married to an Elizabeth (I am yet to find her maiden name or who she is). Lofty (Charles jnr, my fianc?s grandfather) apparently had quiet a few children but none of the family know any of them. Harry and Marge had a son called Trevor (Trevor married Michele and they have 3 children, Trevor is now sadly deceased) Dawn never knew her father Lofty as he left when she was 18 months old. Lofty also had a son called Michael (not sure who the mother was) Harry and Marge actually adopted Michael as they found him in a home when he was 5 I think. Now Harry and Lofty's parents names were Charles and Jean. Charles did have a sister May Rita Barkway which may be the aunt you are thinking of. I am trying to find out if Charles and May had any other siblings and where they came from. I do have a photo of Lofty and Thelma at their wedding :) My fianc? was adopted out at birth and we have just recently found who his birth mother was (Dawn Elizabeth Barkway) they have now reunited but sadly Dawn knows nothing about the Barkways or her father. So in my search I have located Michele Barkway (Trevor's widow) and we are now in contact. I am now doing the family tree and trying for everyone as to be honest none of the Barkways know their own family history. I have also located May Rita Barkways daughter and granddaughter who are thrilled to find out about all of us and the other Barkways :) Thank you so much for your help, if you have any other info it would be fantastic. xx Regards, Storm O'Neill +27 (076) 764 2168 Mobile 085 400 8019 Fax [email protected] www.house-of-madison.com This message is private and confidential.
