It was their daughter that married George STEWART in South Africa The George I'm looking for had parents Thomas STEWART and Ann POULTER (POLTER) I also believe he could have been born in 1843.     3. Does anybody have any info or know where I can find some on the sailing barque the Stella, of I think Norwegian registry which sank in a storm off Algoa Bay in the 1800's some time. She was carrying a load of timber out of Boston harbour USA. My Great Grandfather, Omund Rasmussen, was one of the ships crew and I am attempting to confirm this and the year that the ship went down.     3. Hi Carol, On Free BDM I have found:- A George STEWART born at Hartley Wintney in the March quarter 1848. I cannot find a marriage of Thomas STEWART to Ann POULTER, however in Hartley Wintney I did find:- - a David STEWART married a Ann POULTER in December quarter 1864 - a Thomas STEWART married a Martha STEWART in June quarter 1867. - a John Poulter married a Sarah STEWART in June quarter 1867. Hope some of it helps.
