Paul- I am also searching for my family -- BAXTER -- emigrating from Kent but they left from England to SA (East London and Port Elizabeth) in 1890-1897 . The ship lists are very difficult to find (unlike 1820-1830 settlers) . I have not come across 'The Shepherdess" . Have found : "Tartar" , "Dunottar Castle" , "Mexican" and a few others but the information is either sketchy/missing or dates out of line . I am still 'googling' every and any idea/name/option/possibility . Sorry I can't help . The year was 1858. Thanking you in anticipation Paul le Roux ------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to [email protected] with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message
