Hi list, Charles H. Jones, Corpl. in the R.A. (I think this stands for Royal Artillery. His father was James J. Jones, Fulham, England) and Josie MacLean (Jokena was her baptismal name and she was born at Hubbards NS. Her parents were Charles and Eleanor MacLean) They were married at Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada August 8/1886. Charles was then posted to South Africa....... Their address was 3 WigtownVillas, 141 Main Road, Green Point, Cape Town. Children born in South Africa were Esther Elizabeth Jones and Mabel Jones who stayed in South Africa, their son Charles Jones returned to England, and they lost touch with him.
