A Lot of the names are direct from Cemetery Registers and hand transcriptions of headstones. Remember in the days before digital cameras, groups went and transcribed the headstones by hand and captured them on sheets of paper, later put on spread sheets, this is 1 large spread sheet. Our cemetery project is now one of photographing and sending them into eGGSA and also adding the details of these photos to our current spread sheet. Hope this clears it up. 3. I can't help with your quest Lynne but I'm trying to find a Lynne that might have been born in Cape town or Johannesbourg. Her birth name is unknown as she was adopted, but she was Lynne Deborah Hyde in the UK One of her possible surnames is Price. She vanished in 1980 something and we think she may have returned to South Africa. I've put a notice in a SA forum but no luck yet. 3. Good day fellow listers Further to my e-mail dated 27/06/2012, I have located the following: Charlotte Catherine MILLER (neé ELOFF) was of Dutch descent from the O.F.S. She died a widow in Grey's Hospital, Pietermaritzburg (PMB), Natal aged 81 in 1927. Born circa Feb 1846. Buried in Dutch Reformed / Presbyterian section of the Commercial Road Cemetery in PMB. She was the mother of: Charlotte Catherine/Kathleene WALTERS (neé MILLER) - born ±1873/1874. Frank William MILLER - unknown. Charles John MILLER (born Wepener, O.F.S. circa - born ±Feb 1880. Annie Elizabeth WALTERS (neé MILLER) - born ±1881/82 (my 2nd great grandmother). I have no idea who C.C. ELOFF's husband was or where she was born in the O.F.S. nor do I know who her parents were. It was Charlotte's son, John WALTERS, who founded Albany Bakery in Durban. I'd appreciate any input whatsoever.
