It is not an index to all archives, for instance, records at the National Archives are being indexed in the NA Catalogue (formerly PROCAT) http://www.catalogue.nationalarchives.gov.uk/default.asp and some other archives have their own separate indexing projects, eg the London Metropolitan Archives http://tinyurl.com/mips The a2a project has indexed over 7m records from more than 350 repositories nationwide, but it is far from complete so, while it is a marvellous resource, do not be surprsed if great granny isn't included anywhere (yet) :-) John B Leic., Eng
