I don't have any ideas where Isaac Wardell fits in but yesterday I was looking at the Horsley family tree online on the Ladysmith history website and saw a Sarah Horsley. Reading your query I then looked her up on the Natal Marriages FamilySearch website. She was a Miss Wardell, address Ladysmith. Did a general search on FamilySearch and it came up with a 3rd record, Isaac Wardell but a younger man - marrying in the Dutch Reformed Church, Boshoff - maybe a son from first marriage?
