Morning all - With my comment having been totally ignored on the Cape Town list, I am hopefully trying to see if I have more luck here. Apart from being a Genie, I am also a keen Ameteur Photographer, and belong to the Cape Town Photographic Society (CTPS). CTPS - having been founded in 1890 - turns 125 on 30 October 2015 - just over 2 years from now. I am thinking of gathering as much info relating to what Cape Town was like in that era, what cars were available, what earth-shattering discoveries were taking place, and so on, in order to produce a documentary slide show covering the key events in the intervening 125 years. So - 2 years is not that long - considering the research that needs to be done - which is why I am writing to you all. Please will those who know where historical gems are hiding let me know, so that I can sniff them out, PHOTOGRAPH them, and make the documentary.
