Veronica, Sometimes I do think I am pretty good! Check out this thread: http://archiver.rootsweb.ancestry.com/th/read/SOUTH-AFRICA-EASTERN-CAPE/2007-02/1171476196 and in particular the message: >> For Ray and Richard, These books are currently kept in the Denfield Africana Library, in the Reference section of the Central Library in East London. They have issues for 1904 to 1948, but there are a few missing. I know the 1906 book is there, as I have read it myself. The telephone number is 043 722 4991 or you may email Claire Coombe-Davis at: [email protected] She is not able to do a lot of research, but I think she will answer a few questions. The modern equivalent would be the Braby's Directories. The East London museum also had a set of these books. I don't know if they were moved to the library or wether they are another set. Hallo Keith You said "Sometimes I do think I am pretty good!" I add - "Even if you have to say so yourself ;-)) " You should maybe have said: "When I'm good, I'm very good, but when I'm bad, I'm better " ???? ( I think that was first said my Mae West ?) Have a GOOD weekend !
