Hi there, I am looking for any info on Lilian Sampson WILLIAMS, she was born in Redruth Cornwall, England in June 1891. Her parents - names unknown, only their nicknames Father & Ninny - moved to South Africa when she was a young girl. She married William Arthur GARRIY, born 1886 in Chorlton, Lancashire, England - he worked in the gold mines and they lived in Malvern East, Johannesburg. Lilian Sampson GARRITY (nee WILLIAMS) died in 1950 and is buried in Primrose Cemetery. I am coming to South Africa and will be in Johannesburg for just a couple of days and was hoping someone is able to let me know where the location of the actual grave could be. It is believed her son Charles William Thomas GARRITY Sep 2915 - 1967 is buried in the same grave as his mother. The address Lilian and William GARRITY was living at in 1914 was: 3 Fourth Street, Malvern Johannesburg, is there any way of finding out who was living at the address during that time frame? Thanks so much Lynn!! The first and last record is what I am looking for. I would be ecstatic if I was able to find who her parents were as well as her siblings. Interesting that they have her first name as Lilia, I wonder if that is how her name is recorded at the cemetery. She became a widow at a young age and her parents were living with her that is why I an curious if there is a way to see who was living at a given address.
