Hi Lucky, No, sorry, I don't remember a family of that name. We moved from Springs to St. Helena in 1948 but I went to boarding school from 1952.... It's a pity I wasn't into family history before my father's death.....he was the White Time Keeper with a phenomenal memory....he may well have abeen able to help you! I've looked through my parents scrap book....my mother was great at cutting out articles that applied to them...my father played a lot of cricket both club and provinical and they took part in a lot of Amateur Dramatics.....I didn't pick up the name when having a quick check through there. I have a friend who was 10 years younger than I who lived in Dagbreek (Glynis Millett-Clay) ...she and her husband Charles went to St. Helena Primary School....I think Glynis is a member of this list too) so she may pick up on your request....Charles and I are 8th cousins....we didn't know we were related when I stayed with them in 2007 in Benoni! I was heeltemal tweetalig when I was young, unfortunately now I can read Afrikaans perfectly well but my Afrikaans cousins and I reached the conclusion it was better if we each spoke our mother-tongue...that way the conversations flow better than with me trying to talk Afrikaans! 41 years of living in England haven't helped either!
