Bart, >From the photo you shared with me, the Primrose cemetery (I presume the one in Germiston) seems to be in reasonably good condition. According to the eGGSA web site, they do not have a photographic record of all the stones. Perhaps someone can organize such an expedition? All it needs is for people to take photographs. They are indexed and transcribed later. Hello: I have been thinking the same thing since I went there recently. I would say the graveyard is in very good condition, Currently about 8-12 workers all cutting the grass with weed eaters, concrete wall all round the perimeter, the chap in the office was friendly etc. I would say this GY has a lot of 'good' headstones, meaning good clear headstones that will photo nicely. This GY never really looked big from the outside, but there is truly a lot of graves here. You are allowed to take your car or motorcycle inside, no bicycles. I would suggest photo taken before 15H00 otherwise falling sun brightness and shadow over the headstones etc., from 08H00 - 14H00 would be fine I think. All the sections are by tar roads. It would be a good time to photo since the cemetery has just been trimmed and very green. No grave numbers and no section names on signs. Visitors Hours: [Sept-Apr]: 08H00 - 18H00. [May-Aug]: 08H00 - 17H00. Office Hours: Mon-FRI: 08H00-12H00; 12H30-15H00. - .B.S. - ======================== -----Original Message----- From: Keith Meintjes Bart, >From the photo you shared with me, the Primrose cemetery (I presume the one in Germiston) seems to be in reasonably good condition.
