Hi there I am interested to find out more information on a John Hughes who came over on the Duke of Bedford with his wife and 3 children on the 28th Dec 1849. My gg grandfather was William Hughes from Ireland (so I believe) born c. 1830 and settled in Port Elizabeth where he married Bridget Kearney in 1865. I am trying to find out more about him and was wondering if he could have been one of the children. If anyone could assist me I would be most appreciative. Thanks Patty
