Hello: I am putting this out as an open question. Is it not possible for eGGSA to maybe start here on THIS list, to start some posts on say one handful of graveyards that need to be photographed, although most posts could be sent off list, including photos etc., to get some Rootsweb forum to be able to post to, and start getting groups of interested persons in different locations, to get moving to get these photos taken ?. The Primrose Cemetery right now, is good to be photographed, the grass has just been cut etc., and truly a good time to go and photo it all there. Why not start a Rootsweb eGGSA project where people can post and be posted to ?. You can then put it out that this and that graveyard requires photos, and people in a certain region or specific area are needed to take photos in the same etc. ?. For instance, I did actually try to send some photos from the Primrose Cemetery to eGGSA, but the email address is not valid, and the second I used, I heard nothing. You need a forum like Rootsweb where things can be posted and discussed etc. Let us get it moving by having a place or space to discuss the topic. “Right Chaps.... We require the whole of the Carolina Cemetery to be photographed, who can help ?”. The Primrose Cemetery etc., what others ?. And then one could chirp the other, “OK Dude, we done this and done that, but we need this and we need that !”. Or... OK OK OK, I can’t help there, but I can help with this cemetery over there.... And then.... One sends the photos, you can also post to send the other or precise info related to a grave, or just update a single date and so on.... And then what about adding Zims too ?. Most persons trekking from RSA went to Rhodesia etc. The Bulawayo Athlone Cemetery is an absolute must have, as well as other cemeteries in Zims etc. You need a forum and place to post, I mean, the last time I went back to Primrose Cemetery, a tree had fallen over an excellent grave, now smashed. Maybe on this forum, you would also automatically keep updated post details etc. and persons to post to etc. Also eGGSA should maybe orchestrate all this since it is your project so to speak. Others will assist and post etc. And for instance, on such a forum, one could say, well we have these sections of the graveyard, but we haven’t touched the memorial walls here and there etc. And someone will chirp back, but did you know there was like a whole lot of memorials behind such a wall ?, and so on. And you would reply “Nooit ek se !!!”. That is the idea, what happens next.... B.S. ===============================
