Hi Listers My great grandfather Valentine Sebastian JAMES, born in Darling 23 January 1859. When Valentine's first wife died, he married a second time to Gusea Aletta KIRSTEN and had a son William Henry JAMES born 12 December 1904 in Cape and died 23 May 1955 in Cape Town. Also a daughter Sarah Jane JAMES born 1906. My great grandfather had an older brother, William Henry JAMES married Helena D FORTUIN 1911 - 2002; she died in Fish Hoek. I think they had a daughter. Helena D FORTUIN's parents were Peter FORTUIN and Johanna VAN BLERK Any information about this family would be most helpful and certainly making contact with living descendents would be wonderful.
