These transcriptions are from the Longland's ALPHABETICAL DIRECTORY of JOHANNESBURG (1893) and include the names of many more residents and also cover the suburbs of Fordsburg and Jeppestown and some smaller areas. They compliment the Street directory that I recently posted I have typed the surnames as they are written in the Directory, but I've completed some abbreviated words for easier reading.
