I think this has to do with the efficiency/reliability of the SA postal service (which incidentally made a millionaire of a relative who supposedly help to improve it). I don't doubt that the improvements were made, for a while we had a better Postal service. Around 2004, I found a whole lot of Post dumped next to a hydraulic channel, there is no understanding of people with no ethics. Today the Post is delivered by people who don't even wear uniforms, if you don't have a post box, you lucky if you get your post. Striking and even burning post is what we have to put up with.
