http://www.coachhouse.free-online.co.uk/famtree/famf117.html [Speculative]: Hello: When I look at this upper tree, and internet trees, I am seeing it slightly different, I could be wrong. It gives [Alfred James Smith] to be b:1862. This can’t be the right person here. The [Alfred James Smith] m:23-03-1873 [Annie Stone] in [Q1 Bromley, Kent, England], if he was b:1862, he would be only 11 years old. There are at least 2 Thomas Smith here, one connects to [Stroud, Gloucestershire, b:1824], the other very much just with [Of Bromley b:1822]. [Bromley] must be significant !!!. There is this one: Thomas Smith b:1822, d:1896 [Bromley, Kent, England]. He seems to have a son [Alfred John Smith] b:1852, and TS seems to live most of his life there. Not sure who TS’s wife is. https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:NKNY-MDP https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:QJD2-C743 http://archiver.rootsweb.ancestry.com/th/read/SOUTH-AFRICA-EASTERN-CAPE/2006-07/1152611055 Now, [Alfred James Smith] [???], can’t be [???]. [Alfred and Annie Smith who had a son named Fredrick Ernest Smith]: [Alfred James Smith b:1862 Stroud], but [Alfred JOHN Smith] b:1852 son of Thomas Smith, m:30-03-1873 in [Bromley, Kent, England] to [Annie Stone] dg of John Stone. [Alfred John Smith] Chr:15-08-1852 [Bromley, Kent, England], parents: [Thomas + Mary Smith]. ???. https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:XQH9-MJB ???. So something is not right here. Can one remind me how one knows the names of the parents for your [Frederick Ernest Smith] ?. Bart. ==================
