I have finished "Full many a glorious morning" and am working on "Thunder on the Blaauwberg" now. If you use a spreadsheet program, it will often repeat the book title if you type the first letter, which saves typing. If there is anything in inverted commas (like nicknames) it's probably best to leave them out. I usually start with the printed index in the book, then go through the book adding things that the printed index has left out. Sometimes the printed index gives only initials, whole the text gives full names, for example, and so I add those. I hope this is helpful, and also to anyone else who might be interested in joining in. -- Steve Hayes E-mail: shayes@dunelm.org.uk Blog: http://khanya.wordpress.com Web: http://www.khanya.org.za/stevesig.htm Phone: 083-342-3563 or 012-333-6727 Fax: 086-548-2525

    3. Steve, I see Fay has "when the journey's over" and I cannot raise that site you gave me so if you don't mind I will pull out! I have just had my computer updated and am dithering over new things. I do wish these clever young men who come to fix things would NOT change what I know was there. Now That is a sign of Anno Domini. But I do wish you every success in this venture. I read every one of his books years ago, Loved them.
