    3. Hi Lucky I have just been idly searching passenger lists and came across a Mr Hudson who arrived in Cape Town on board the Mary Ann on Sunday 15th April 1849. Unfortunately, it doesn't give a name or initial, but it might be related to your search. http://www.sagenealogy.co.za/Mary_Ann.htm Kind regards Megan Hudson From: Megan Hudson <megan@business-zone.co.za> Date: Sunday, 29 March 2015 22:54 To: Laquita Belinfante <belinfante@telkomsa.net>, <south-africa@rootsweb.com> Subject: Re: [SOUTH-AFRICA] Cecelia Margaret Frances (nee Duncan) and Florence Katherine Louise Frances Hi Lucky I don't have any of the HUDSON family that you are looking for in my database of HUDSON's, but I suggest that you look at the 1820 Settlers and also the NAAIRS databases. Good luck From: Laquita Belinfante <belinfante@telkomsa.net> Date: Sunday, 29 March 2015 21:42 To: Megan Hudson <megan@business-zone.co.za>, <south-africa@rootsweb.com> Subject: RE: [SOUTH-AFRICA] Cecelia Margaret Frances (nee Duncan) and Florence Katherine Louise Frances Hello Megan HUDSON. She had four daughters: Margaret Frances, who died from pleurisy or pneumonia Adelaide Frances, who emigrated to Australia or America Alice Frances b. 1878 who married a lawyer named Armstrong who was a heavy drinker and whom she apparently had to lock in the house the night before a big case to prevent him from getting drunk! Florence Katherine Louise Frances b. 1879, married George Harris in 1900 in Port Elizabeth and died 26/07/1960 in Durban. She was my gr-grandmother. Information that we have tells us that Cecelia Margaret Frances was housekeeper to the Lovemore family (a prominent 1820 Settler family) on their farm in Queenstown. I would love any additional genealogical information about any of these women, as well as any anecdotal information. ------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to SOUTH-AFRICA-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message --- This email has been checked for viruses by Avast antivirus software. http://www.avast.com
