A monumental history of the Scottish party led by Thomas Pringle that settled along the Baviaans near Cradock on land confiscated from the Slagtersnek rebels. A very rare set of 2049 pages in four volumes. Curiously, the author's heirs have very recently refused permission to publish this work in electronic format. In trying to establish a value for the collection, I find that many of the books are simply not available. For example, the works above and AJ Boeseken: Slaves and Free Blacks at the Cape. At a conservative value of USD $100 per volume, these 250 books total to a serious amount of cash! I am delighted the collection will be preserved. Keith
