    3. Hi all, I am looking for information on the descendants of Egram Briton (sometimes also spelled Brit(t)an or Brit(t)ain) LIGHTFOOT, who was born in 1841 in Bedfordshire, England, died 1902 in South Africa. He had four sons and four daughters, and I know of at least four cousins who all had that Egram Briton first name: one Egram Briton Hanekom, one Egram Briton Gibbons and no fewer than two Egram Briton Lightfoots! There are several Egram Britons in Naairs and I was hoping to complete my family tree with missing information and possibly even connect with descendants that are still alive. Egram Briton was the brother of my direct ancestor and the name can be traced back as far as 1781 when the first son of Francis Britain and Elizabeth Egram was given this name. It is such a strange and special name, there must be people here that know or have known people with this name! Thanks in advance! Regards, Sigrid.

    3. In the 1970's there was a Briton who was FireChief in Pietermaritzburg. Not sure of his name spelling.
