Go to http://www.national.archsrch.gov.za/sm300cv/smws/sm300dl, choose KAB and make use of the acronym HAWC to search these records. There are more than 50 000 of them. Dear Albie I unfortunately do not know if any of the other Government Archives Home Affairs records have been data processed. Some of the document series - e.g Estate Papers- are data processed by all Government Archives - but regarding other documents series each Archive do their own prioritisation. Kind regards Daniel Ps I was an archivist in the Cape Archives in the late 80's/early 90's and have some knowledge of this. Have also assisted with the data processing of some of the records. The series I have worked on that made the biggest impression on me was Estate Papers for the First World War period. All those young men. Many of them with virtually no assets. Sometimes their last "pay check" still due been their biggest asset. I can remember that some of them died at Dellville Wood.
