I am also interested in the ethnicity of Catharina VALK, born ca 1620, married July 26, 1739, to Johann Horn in Cape Province and died Oct. 9, 1759 at the Cape. Her first marriage was to Carl Dietrich BOETENDAG (Buitendag). Her 2nd husband Johann HORN arrived in SA in 1735 and was a burger in 1739. I presume she may have been of German ethnicity, but am not sure. Has anyone any more information on her? Sonia
