I want to again look at the ethnic background of my husband's van Heerden family, and have come up with some persons whose ethnicity is unknown. I know there was some controversy about the De Beer family. In my records I show that they could be from Land of Waas in Germany or the Island of Riigen, Denmark. Does anyone have any more information on the origin of the De Beer Family. Sonia
