Hello again listers, I have found NAAIRS doc that says ; Description ex Parte application, Charles Edward Erasmus Starting 1963 Ending 1963 I may be clutching at straws as I have no other information about him other than his parents were Theunis Theodore Erasmus and Golda Sally Woolf. Sally and Theunis were married in Barberton 1884 so I surmise he must have been born after that. His siblings were Edmund Theodore(1895 1948) Isabel and Alice. Can anyone please tell me what ex parte application means? Dee

    3. Hello Dee, ex-parte = from one side only. It's a legal expression which means literally 'from a party', applied to a proceeding in which only one side of the case is presented, and the opposing side is absent.
