    2. Try the Chamber of Mines, Johannesburg. They may be able to help. My grandfather worked on Simmer and Jack Mine in Germiston but lived in mine housing. My grandparents were married in St. Boniface Church, Germiston. I have a copy of his Death Notice and his address was 126/136 President street Germiston. He was a miner, a widower and he died in April 1931. So I have a few question? Which Mine would he have worked at? Are there miners staff records? Is there a way to find a housing record for that time? I am not sure what else I can look for to find him. He also got married in Germiston according to his DN, are there church marriage records available for Germiston? His wife Ellen Grace nee Taylor died in 1923, I havent been able to find a Death Notice for her. Where would i be able to find it or who should I contact to find it for me? Hope someone can help me answer these questions.
