    3. Hallo :-) I'm sorry, but I have to disagree with you.  Maybe it depends on where your interest is?  I haven't had any bad experience with Ancestry.  And found, and still finds, Ancestry24 very useful for my research in South Africa.  Kind regards Sunelia Heath Researching all Heaths in RSA ________________________________ From: mkennedy <margoken@bigpond.net.au> To: SOUTH-AFRICA@rootsweb.com Sent: Tue, July 12, 2011 9:59:36 AM Subject: [SOUTH-AFRICA] Ancestor.co.za or Ancestry24 ?? I have recently had contact with both of these Websites, and would like to offer a little warning as to which one to try first. I acted very quickly when I finally found a name I've been looking for over the past 7 years, and paid to join Ancestry.24  so I could access further information, but no viewing of original records for my particular people were available. I then found the other website, ancestor.co.za .. which I found to be a lot more user friendly.  It not only contained the same basic records as Ancestry.24, but I was able to access all records required by applying online, paying the fee, and receiving the records online via notification by email that they are available. When I questioned Ancestry 24 as to why I could not view the original records, I could not get a straight answer, and have now accepted the fact that my money has been wasted with them.  If I had found ancestor.co.za first, I would not have had this hassle. It appears that ancestor.co.za has much more to offer on their website, and would recommend you try them first. Good luck, and happy digging, Margo ------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to SOUTH-AFRICA-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message
