    3. Dr. Joseph John Ross (born in Scotland) was a doctor in one of the Free State concentration camps, perhaps Hopetown. After the war he became the town doctor at Fauresmith, and married Katie Meintjes, my great aunt. After her death, he remarried Katie's younger sister, Annie. I believe he met Katie at the concentration camp, though I believe she was not interned there. Perhaps she was a helper? There was no reason for her to be interned, as she lived in a town.
