Looking for any connections to a James MONTGOMERY, born Lanark, Scotland in 1873; parents William Shore MONTGOMERY and Mary BLAKLEY (or variants). The MONTGOMERY family sailed for New Zealand in 1874 and became very involved in the mining and hotel industries in NZ. James was living in Christchurch, NZ until about 1911 but disappeared sometime after that. It was thought that he may have gone to Australia and/or South Africa. The very name of James MONTGOMERY suggests a "needle in a haystack" scenario, so I am going through a process of elimination at the moment.
