Hi Iain, thank you so much for the encouragement! In the new year, I'm going to start cold-calling. Actually, someone in the area has emailed me off-list and offered to help with that (so thrilled for the offer of help!!). I have indeed googled a name + area for this cousin and nothing comes up, except for an individual with the same name who I'm quite certain is not my cousin. I have also tried the facebook route for both my cousin and his daughter but haven't been successful. In other branches of my tree I have had a LOT of success with these methods but the bricks keep falling on me this time. Hopefully the one relative I mentioned in a post just previous will come through this time.
