Hi On Zimbabwe, does anyone have any ideas on how to find out a date of death in 1962. My husbands grandfather was Eugene Robert Rochoy, a retired signalman of the South Africa Railways, according to my husband and his aunt, while on holiday in " Umtali, Rhodesia" (Mutare, Zimbabwe) in 1962 he died of a heart attack, He would have been 62 years old. We do not know if he was buried or cremated there. His ' wife' Josephine Rochoy, although divorced, was on holiday with him, at the time. Their religion was Catholic. There is no Death Notice for him here in South Africa, and I have not been able to find a Death Notice registered in Zimbabwe. I would like to find out the exact date of his death, and or any copies of documents that relate to his death. If anyone is able to help it would be much appreciated. Thanking you Barbara
Dear Barbara If you Google his name some of his medals appear on an auction site.
