I have managed to find a notice of his wedding on the net: This is a transcription of a column in South Africa Magazine, January 15, 1910, titled Domestic Announcements: SELFE-CAMPBELL-On December 8 (1909), at Pretoria, Charles Henry Sydney, elder son of Lieutenant-Colonel Selfe, of Bedford Park, to Mary Annie, elder daughter of Andrew J. Campbell, Brits Station, near Pretoria (Ellen Stanton, Email: harprulz@bellsouth.net<mailto:harprulz@bellsouth.net>) In this transcription is father is indicated as Lieutenant-Colonel SELFE, of Bedford Park. I would assume that this is Bedford Park in London? (SAG only indicates surnames with the spelling SELF) If that is the case, is Charles Henry Sydney SELFE the progenitor (stamvader) of the SELFE's in South Africa? Andrew Joseph CAMPBELL: This is the father to Mary Annie, who married Charles Henry Sydney SELFE. Mary Annie's estate file thankfully did indicate her parents, and her mother is indicated as: Anna Margaretha Catharina ROOS. Thankfully SAG could give me her mother's ascendants, but I was not as lucky on Andrew Joseph CAMPBELL. I also could not find his file in the National Archives.
