Yes, children were also sent to Canada in a Bernardo scheme. They were also called Home Children in Canada. There were a number of schemes where children were sent here - particularly to work on farms. Some had good stories and some had very hard times. There have been researches done here in Canada and in England about the ancestry of these children. I know that the Bernardo organization has good records of these children. You might try to find out whether the organization still has records of where the children came from and what happened to their families. Sonia
