    1. [SOUTH-AFRICA] Siblings of Deborah Jane Robinson + WATSON [!!!]
    2. Bart Simon via
    3. Hello: Regards your [John Isaac Watson]: He ‘seems’ to be the same person as the Rhodesian Pioneer. He d:28-09-1906 (Accident) bur:Selukwe Cemetery, Selukwe, Rhodesia, and worked at the Wanderer Mine, Selukwe, the same mine my Watsons were at. I can send the text of an article on him off list if anyone wants it. He built the first Hillside Dam in Bulawayo. [John Watson and his wife Annie (nee Hamman) were both born in South Africa. The Watsons were Scottish folk, but Annie's ancestors fled from France during the French Revolution, and apparently went on to South Africa from Ireland. Emily herself was born in Johannesburg on June 16, 1888, and was one of the four Watson children who trekked to Bulawayo. The family left Johannesburg in 1894 and got as far as Mafeking, where they lost all their cattle. The following year John began conducting transport wagons to Bulawayo, and on his second trip up he met an old friend, Joe Guiney, taking his own wagons and donkeys south to reload. John asked him to bring Annie and the children back to Bulawayo with him, and Joe did so.]. m.: Johanna Magdalena Hamman: b:Abt.1869, d:24-11-1949 bur:Athlone Cemetery, Bulawayo. It seems they ‘might’ have had 6 kids, I only know of 5: Ellen Harriet Watson. Monica Watson m. ? Gibb. Emily Elsie Watson m. ? Andrews. William Watson. Mary Watson m. ? Meredith. Lillian Jane Watson m. ? Warwick. https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:QVBQ-ZSW4 https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:QVBQ-CWPP Bart. ==================
