Martha, I suspect that the father of my James is James Sr. of Franklin county North Carolina. I sent the following request to someone in Franklin County Am trying to get copies of some deeds and was wondering if you would be able to do it for me. Following is what I need April 13 1822: James Solomon Sr and James Solomon Jr joint bill of sale. Jan 8 1828: James Solomon deed to Gideon Bass of Nash Co. for his interest in both real and personal property formerly belonging to his father James Solomon deceased. April 23 1834: Elizabeth Solomon widow of James Solomon, bill of sale. The second item dated Jan 8, 1828 would be especially interesting if it has the signature of his wife. As you can tell by my page my James was married to Elizabeth Rhodes of Guilford County North Carolina. If Elizabeth's signature is on this item then I believe we'll have sufficient proof. Hope someone can help me solve this puzzle. It is the last link I need to the early Solomons. George
