Hi, Terry and Bonnie. You both may be on to something. Someone told us the family may have migrated to Kentucky from SC in the 1800s. As for what part of Kentuck Isaac Solomon was from, I can only say he met his wife in western Kentucky. I do know she had many brothers, and they all worked in the coal mines. Isaac Solomon appears to have been a carpenter by trade. About all else we know is that Harlan County keeps popping up, but have had no luck at all searching birth records. Okay, this may be an odd question, but does anyone know if it's possible to learn who was in the merchant marines? We were told Isaac Solomon may have served with them when before he was married.
