Hello, Does anyone have information (parents, etc.) on a Leveter Johnson Solomon before he moved to Indiana around 1840? a.. On July 11, 1841 he married Katie Wealthy Richardson (born in NY in 1823), in Delaware Co., IN. Their first child Mary E. was born in Ohio in 1845. b.. In the 1850 census he was 28 yrs. old, so that would make his birth year 1822. It shows his birth place as VA. and he was living in Boone Co., IN. c.. The 1860 census he was living in Marion Co., IN and his place of birth as NC. d.. He was living in Delaware Co., IN when the 1870 census was taken. He moved again by the 1880 census, but I have an idea where he might be. The rest of their children were born in Indiana. He was a farm laborer and this probably explains why he moved around.
