Here's a different challenge for you fellow Solomon researchers. I came across this typescript: "Chapter XIX; SOLOMON - SALMON" in the Greenville-Green County (Tennessee) Library. I don't know who the people are (yet) nor do I have any idea of the author/compiler. The progenitor in this 12 page document is James Harrison Solomon born 1783, died 5 Feb 1869. He "married (1) Phoebe Trailor, who died Dec. 1815, Halifax Co., Virginia. Children: William and Jerry. Married (2) Dicie Walker ca 1818 in Halifax Co., Va. Children: Bird, Fieldon, Richard, Frank, Tinsley, Susan, Jane, Eliza, Mary and Anna. James Harrison Solomon served in the War of 1812. His second wife Dicie, died at the home of her son, Tinsley Solomon, near Bulls Gap, Tennessee in 1896 at the age of 103 years". The author was descended from James' son William. There is information on later generations and even speculation on James Harrison Solomon's parents. Some of these Solomons lived close to the place and time of my Solomon. Want to take any guesses?
