    1. Mary Solomon
    2. Additional possibilities for Mary Solomon: In Sept. 1810 the will of Willis Solomon was filed in Laurens Cty, GA. Evans Andrews (Andress) was named as executor. (Reference Deed 1042 Franklin County, NC - John Solomon to Evans Andrews, also signed by Mary Solomon.) Payouts from the Willis Solomon estate included James Solomon and Mary Solomon along with others. (James Solomon was the son of Peter Solomon of Franklin County, NC). On March 8, 1819 James Solomon was named eligible from Capt. Leroy G. Harris District in Laurens County, GA. On March 8, 1819 Mary Solloman was named eligible from Capt. Leroy G. Harris District in Laurens County, GA. The above were listed as separate entries in the records which led me to believe they were not man and wife. James Solomon (s/o Peter) married between 1805 but his wife died. In 1830 James was in Ware County, GA with 1 male 5-10; 1 male 50-60; 1 female 10-15 and 1 female 70-80. (Could this older female be Mary??) In Laurens County, GA in 1830 was Jonathan Solomon 1 male 5-10; 2 males 15-20; 1 male 40-50; 1 female less than 5; 1 female 10-15 and 1 female 40-50. Comments: I became interested in John and Mary Solomon of NC while trying to resolve the question - where were the children of Peter Solomon in the 1780s?? It appears they remained in the area after the sale of Peters property in 1785 since Lazarus is listed in the 1790 Nash Cty, NC census as a young married. Thus far all I have are more questions: Could Mary have been the widow of Peter?? (My materials indicated she had 4 sons under 21 and a daughter in the NC state census. This could well include Lazarus born 1765 and James 1770). Was Mary actually Mary Long, the wife of John Solomon, son of Lewis Solomon II. The other Solomons in the Peachtree Creek area of Franklin County were proved or believed to be his children - namely James, Peter, George and Elizabeth Wise, wife of Jesse. Since Willis Solomon had ties with Franklin County - was the Mary in his will the same Mary -- perhaps his mother. Another possibility - If both Peter Solomon and his wife died early, his children could have been raised by his brother, John and his wife, Mary Long. Any and all comments welcome and appreciated.
