Since I have totally failed in finding the mystery man Moses Solomon, my gr. grandfather, b. 1805, NC, I will attack the problem another way. Sampson was born approx. 1813 in NC; on 1850 census he lived in Fentress County, TN in next household to Moses. He married Anna Beaty of Overton County, TN. I believe Moses and Sampson were brothers, or related. In 1860 census, still in Fentress County, Sampson had children, Artemia b. 1851, Ethelbert b. 1853, Thomas b. 1855, David b. 1856, Nancy b. 1857, Sarah b. 1859. Could not find him on census after 1860. Recognize any of these names? Carletta Keith
