In 1820, Samuel Solomon is a single man and the only SOLOMON listed in the Robertson County, TN census. The WILLIAM SOLOMON in nearby Sumner County, TN is roughly the same age as SAMUEL and might possibly be a brother. Between 1820 and 1823, SAMUEL SOLOMON married ELIZA BENTON and they proceed to have 14 children and spend the remainder of their lives in Robertson County, TN.. SAMUEL SOLOMON died in Robertson County, TN in the spring of 1861. The most likely prospect as the father of SAMUEL SOLOMON appears to be ALSTON (AUSTIN, OLSTAN, etc) SOLOMON who was born 1775-1780 at a location unknown. ALSTON SOLOMON is in Bedford County, TN on October 22, 1811 when he grants a power of attorney for his wife Phebe Browning Solomon related to a potential inheritance in Caswell County, NC. Athough Phebe Browning was born in Caswell County, NC, I have not found any records that indicate that ALSTON SOLOMON was ever in Caswell County. On November 14, 1812, THOMAS SOLOMON appears as a potential juror in Robertson County, TN. I have not located any other record of THOMAS SOMOMON. There is a transfer of property from the SOLOMON heirs in 1822 in Robertson County. Thomas could possibly be the father of ALSTON SOLOMON. In November of 1814, AUSTIN SOLOMON serves as a security in Robertson County, TN. AUSTIN SOLOMON purchased property in Robertson County and continues to appear regularily in Robertson County, TN records through 1822. However, ALSTON SOLOMON appears in the 1820, 1830 and 1840 census for Bedford County, TN.
