Hi anyone: I am trying to trace my family tree and have grandparents named Solomiany. I wonder if Solomon is a variation of this name? I have a grandparent (female), named Palahna (Polohna) Solomiany, Born 1862 in the village of Harasymiw (Harasymium), Province of Horondenka in the Ukraine. She came to Canada with her husband Simon Diakiw around 1902. Also, John (Iwan) Solomiany born 1888 in the Village of Harasymiw (Harasymium), the Ukriane. John is not related to Palahna. John came to Canada in 1899. Both individuals settled in the Cudworth, Saskatchewan area. If you have any information on these folks, or their ancestors, I would dearly appreciated receiving it.
