I am not a Solomon researcher. However, I ran across some information that I thought might benefit Solomon researchers. Plus, I have a couple of questions that a Solomon researcher might be able to help me with. I found the following at the Shady Grove Cemetery, Jefferson County, Tennessee. SOLOMON-Holland 7 Mar 1889 21 Sep 1909 John W. ) 7 Dec 1870 12 Jul 1945 Rebecca Harrison) 1 Nov 1874 4 Aug 1938 J. W. ) 25 Sep 1850 22 May 1897 Sarah C.) 25 Jun l844 3 Mar 1908 w/o J.W. Lester F. 16 Mar 1895 6 May 1907 s/o J.W. & R.R. Nancy 22 Feb 1824 20 Aug 1877 w/o Sterling Rufus Walker ) 2 Sep 1882 7 Apr 1954 Della Chambers) 14 Sep 1883 6 Jul 1939 Twin Boys ) Born & died 14 Mar 1922 Ruby Eugenia ) 6 Apr 1912 9 Nov 1921 Loraine ) Born & died 18 Jan 1921 My link to this group of people is Rebecca Harrison Solomon. She was Rhoda Rebecca (Becky) Harrison, b. 1 Nov 1874, d. 4 Aug 1938, m. 13 Nov 1892 to John Wesley Solomon. Becky Harrison was the sister of my g grandmother Nancy Virginia (Nannie) Harrison who m. my g grandfather William Harley (Harley) Bryan. I don't have anything on Becky Harrison's children, nor on the pedigree of her husband John Wesley Solomon. The above information appears to provide a lot of clues if only I can decipher it. Holland Solomon appears as if he might be the son of John W. Solomon and Rebecca Harrison. John W. Solomon is Becky's husband John Wesley Solomon. J.W. and Sarah C. Solomon appear to be John Wesley Solomon's parents. It seems likely the elder Solomon was named John Wesley Solomon as well. Of course, his name could have been James or something of that nature. Lester F. Solomon appears to be the son of John Wesley Solomon and Rebecca Harrison, especially when you consider that her full name was Rhoda Rebecca Harrison. Nancy, w/o Sterling Solomon, appears to be the mother of the elder J.W. Solomon. I found a marriage for Sterling Solomon to Nancy A. Hickey, 4 Feb 1846 in Jefferson County, Tennessee that appears to be this couple. Rufus Walker Solomon appears to be the son of J.W. and Sarah C. Solomon with Della Chambers his wife. The twin boys, Ruby Eugenia Solomon, and Loraine Solomon appear to be the children of Rufus Walker Solomon and Della Chambers. Before I put this information in my data base, can anybody either confirm it or provide corrected information? At this point, I confess I have not done the due diligence to chase down the relevant census data. I'm just looking at the cemetery data from above. Thanks in advance.
