Hello Listers, I posted this a while back, got a few responses, and wanted to bring it up again in case there are some new people on the list. In 1908 a Rev.Samuel Solomon was a lay missionary who worked with the Mexican/Indian population in the Riverside-Corona-San Bernardino area of California in charge of a Presbyterian Home or orphanage. It is believed that he was from Phoenix and was there for about two years, probably until 1910 or 1911. He was influential in placing two small Indian children, Yaquis, whose mother died giving birth to their half-brother in Riverside. These two children grew up without any kind of record of their real parents or knowledge of their real birth years. The older of the two was old enough to know how old she was, but the younger wasn't. They were both taken to different homes and didn't see each other again till they were adults with families of their own. Samuel Solomon is a link to finding any records of them. Does anyone have an ancester or relative who might be related to this Rev. Samuel Solomon? Would love to hear from you. Thank you.
