    1. Sarah Soloman
    2. Le Bateman
    3. Hi I thought I would add an interesting note, now I was searching through the 1860 census of Twiggs County and it listed a Sarah SOLOMAN as the head of the household it also listed a Willis D. Finch age 14 as her son, now is this saying he was illegitimate or from a previous marriage. Why did it list her as a Soloman and not a Finch. I was so happy to locate another Soloman I failed to look at her age, but I think it possible this could be Delilah's sister. Well I will keep everyone posted, anyone doing research on the siblings of Mamie Soloman Oates please contact me. Eva Price Carroll, Emmett Curits Soloman, Ralph Sporman Soloman, Emma Kate Vann, William he died a number of months after he was born in 1896, Robert E. Soloman, and Corine Camp. As a child I remember everyone one of these like it were yesterday. Aunt Co had a dress shop in Headland, all were from Headland. Joy Arnold Co's daughter lives in Abbeville Alabama. Miss Mamie I remember as a dignified well read Southern Lady. Even at 86 her mind was brillient. The eldest Aunt Eva died on her 107th birthday. __________________________________________ NetZero - Defenders of the Free World Get your FREE Internet Access and Email at http://www.netzero.net/download/index.html

    1. Solomons on 1830 Twiggs County GA census
    2. Keith and Paula Griffin
    3. I checked the 1830 Twiggs County (GA) census online for Solomons, Pearces and Griffins- there are 3 Solomon households listed. William - male 30-40, female 15-20, boy under 5 (husband, wife and child?) Lazarus - male 60-70, female 40-50, 3 males 20-30, 1 male 15-20 (father, daughter, 4 sons?) Henry - male 30-40, female 20-30 (his wife Lucinda Griffin Solomon), 2 females 10 and under and one male 20-30 Just for the record, William had 4 slaves and one free black male, Lazarus had 7 slaves and Henry had 60 slaves (why did he have so many?). This census was taken by a Peter Solomon, a son of Lazarus. Does anyone know who the male 20-30 living with the Henry Solomon family was? Does anyone know about a Lazarus Pearce who lived next door to Lazarus Solomon? Paula

    2. What has happened to this list. It was so active when I joined. How will we ever learn if we don't get off our duffs and post some kind of information. This includes me. This is what I am trying to find out. Rev. Lewis Solomon married twice? (son of Lazarus and Elizabeth Bedgood Solomon) He married a Mrs. T. E. Bateman on 11 Nov 1863 Sumter Co., GA. They had a daughter named Cora Hunter Solomon, b. 15 Sep 1866. Lewis was 51 at the time of their marriage. His first wife Lucy Ann Lingo died 14 Apr 1863 in Twiggs Co., GA. He married Mrs. T. E. Bateman only seven months after Lucy Ann died. What I am wanting to find out is what did the initials T. E. stand for. Were they her initials or were they her other husbands? She was listed as Mrs. T. E. Bateman in the newspaper article about the marriage of her and Lewis? I would appreciate any ideas on this subject. Thanks, Rose Jones

    1. Re: Warren County, Tn. SOLOMONS
    2. Glenda: Although, Psalm H. SOLOMON is not shown in the 1850 Warren County, Tn. census with Henry and Tabitha SOLOMON, I do believe they are his parents. I believe he is the Sam shown on the 1860 Cass County, Mo. census with Henry and Tabitha. On Psalm's civil war pension application he stated that he was born in McMinnville, Warren County, Tn. He gave his year of birth as 1847, but I believe it was really about 1851. Of course I have no proof. He died on 17 Sep 1923, in Kyle, Hays County, Tx. and I have his obituary and finally located where he was buried, but the State of Texas can not locate a death certificate for him. That was my last hope for finding proof of his parentage. I have the children of Henry and Tabitha as: 1) Jesse A. SOLOMON, born @1839, Tn. No other information. 2) William C. SOLOMON, born @1841, Tn. died 8 Mar 1863 as a prisoner of war at Jefferson Barracks, St. Louis, Mo. 3) Laura A. SOLOMON, born @1843, Tn., married Robert MARSHALL @1859 in Mo. Laura and Robert were living next door to Henry and Tabitha in the 1860 census. 4) John C. SOLOMON, born 31 Dec 1845, Warren County, Tn., died 9 Jul 1901, Johnson County, Mo., married Sarah Sears SCOTT. 5) James E. SOLOMON, born @1846, Warren County, Tn., married Faitha SOLOMON on 3 Feb 1883, Warren County, Tn. and then abandoned her and left town. 6) Sarah E. SOLOMON born @1849, Warren County, Tn. No other information. 7) Psalm H. SOLOMON, born @1847-1851, Warren County, Tn., married Ardena Parmer BONES on 5 Jun 1870, Johnson County, Mo. died 17 Sep 1923, Kyle Hays County, Tx. 8) George SOLOMON, born @1860, Cass County, Mo. No other information. There was a Nancy CUNNINGHAM living with Henry and Tabitha SOLOMON in 1850 in Warren County. I thought she was possibly Tabitha's mother. In 1870 Tabitha was living in Johnson County, Mo. in the same area as Psalm. Henry died on 20 Apr 1866 in Howard County, Mo. and is buried there in Drake/Campbell Cemetery. If any of these are familiar I would sure love to hear from you. Mary

    1. (no subject)
    2. Hello? This will be my first attempt at connecting with any of you .... I'm afraid I have very little to go on. So here's my needle for your haystack! Soloman, John and Susan, born in England (Cornwall I think) gave birth to my ggGrandmother around 1845-49 - Emma. She married in 1865 gave birth to 13 children. I have the connections from her forward, am looking for anyone who may have info on these Solomans. Upper Michigan is where she resided - haven't found anything on her parents there. (just listed on her death record) Thanks Laura

    1. Name search SOLOMIANY from Ukraine
    2. Sally Parsons
    3. Hi anyone: I am trying to trace my family tree and have grandparents named Solomiany. I wonder if Solomon is a variation of this name? I have a grandparent (female), named Palahna (Polohna) Solomiany, Born 1862 in the village of Harasymiw (Harasymium), Province of Horondenka in the Ukraine. She came to Canada with her husband Simon Diakiw around 1902. Also, John (Iwan) Solomiany born 1888 in the Village of Harasymiw (Harasymium), the Ukriane. John is not related to Palahna. John came to Canada in 1899. Both individuals settled in the Cudworth, Saskatchewan area. If you have any information on these folks, or their ancestors, I would dearly appreciated receiving it. I have more history on this if anyone is interested. Thanks you. Sally
