Naomi, You might want to check with the people on the SOLOMON mailing list about the book. The address for the Solomon mailing list is SOLOMON-L@rootsweb.com I don't know if anyone still wants the book or not. Just make sure that you mention that it is on the descendants of Lazarus b.1765 and Elizabeth Bedgood. There are a lot of other lines on the list now. I wouldn't want them to get confused. I haven't been working on that line in a while. So I have not been corresponding with anyone on this line for a while now. I can't think of anything else that I would have to put in the book. I am looking for the children of John Solomon, b. about 1798-1800 probably in Surry Co., NC. He married Lucy Pritchett on 7 Nov 1818 in Surry Co., NC. John's father was Laveter J. Solomon, the earliest I have found him is in the 1810 census in the same county. I believe John and Lucy are the parents of my great great grandfather Leveter Johnson Solomon born in 1822 in Surry Co., NC. As far as I can tell James Solomon born ca. 1820, b. Ky marr. 17 Sept. 1843 in Vigo co. Ind to Eliza Lawson born in Va. and yes William Bull lived with them. Because of the birth date and state of Ky. this Solomon could be related to my William sr. and Jr., Abraham and Lewis who lived in Vigo co. area. Having come from Ky. N. Nancy Hartman I have John and Nancy Solomon living in Boston Twp., Wayne Co., IN in the 1850 census. With them are the 5 older children. I was interested in this John because the John Solomon I have been looking for I lost after the 1830 census in Scott Co., VA. and Wayne Co., and Henry Co., IN is where my last 5 generations settled. But the problem is with his wife Nancy; she would have been 12 years old when my gggreatgrandfather Leveter Johnson Solomon was born in 1822 in NC. In the 1850 census living next to John and Nancy is a James Solomon, age 30, born in KY. His wife is Eliza, age 38, born in VA. Living with them is William Bull, age 7, born in Indiana. Hi...I am trying to learn who was the wife of John Abraham Solomon, Jr. His parents were John Abraham Solomon, Sr., and Elizabet Myrick Solomon. Solbrig Notes: There is some confusion over JJ Solomon�s name. In the 1870 GA census, he is listed in his parent�s household as Thomas Jackson. He is later referred to as Jack and used J.J. Solomon on legal documents such as birth certificates for his children, deed records and his death certificate. He is shown as Jack J. on his tombstone. (This book contains a list of early settlers of the area): �JACK SOLOMON will be remembered as a blacksmith, a farmer, and another old-time fiddler. He was a son of Godfrey Solomon.� Listed in Here�s Harper as World War I Veterans in and around Harper are - Alfred Solomon, Jess Solomon, Ralph Solomon. Per Mildred Solomon Solbrig in an interview in November of 1997, JJ married at a very young age (17 or younger) to a young German girl (first name unknown). Both sets of parents were opposed to this marriage. After having several children, she died and JJ wed Belle Strickland. Mildred believed Belle had one child and that Belle and the child died after which JJ married Gil McDonald. She states that Alfred was the youngest child by the Vanderstucken wife. The records on file at the Gillespie Cty courthouse seem to indicate however that all the children other than Mildred would have been the offspring of Belle Strickland since Belle and JJ were married in 1881. JJ would have been 18 years old at the time and Belle 24. There is also a question regarding the mother of Elmo Lee. Born in 1903, he arrived after the death of Bell Stricklin.
