The following was obtained from Kindred Konnections. Source: Jonas Solomon Family Bible Jonas Solomon wife, Hannah Applegate born @1725 New Jersey Married Dec. 27, 1757 at Monmouth, NJ Children: Birthdate Catherine April 18, 1758 NJ John Nov 18, 1760 NJ Rebeckah Feb 15, 1765 NJ Levi Nov 10, 1767 NJ Jonas Sep 29, 1768/1769 NJ Nebuchadnezzar Mar 14, 1774 NJ William (did not live to adulthood per family lore, was not listed in family Bible) Note: The Kindred Konnection file goes on to state John (born in Freehold, Monmouth, NJ) was alive Mar 15, 1782 per Revolutionary War info. Also lists the children of Levi and his wives: Catherine Hilsey and Eliza Roena Cook. Other sources I have encountered listing John and Levi as sons of Peter have listed Levi's birthdate as Nov. 10, 1767. This seems suspiciously coincidental. The source from W. G. Solomon Bible Records states John spent time in Coffee County, GA. Coffee County was formed in 1855; John born 1760 would have been 95 years old at the time. There were John Solomons in Cofffee Cty; but I suspect not this particular one. As shown on this list, the W. G. Solomon Bible records state Lazarus was born in Washington County, GA and, later in the same post, in Washington County, NC. I suspect this emanates from the fact that Lazarus came to Georgia from North Carolina and settled first in Washington County, GA before later settling in Twiggs County. I personally am not comfortable accepting John and Levi unequivocally as the sons of Peter until further investigation can be accomplished. Nieca Sharrard

Looking for information on Hartwell L. SOLOMON. Son of Henry Forsyth SOLOMON, Sr. and Lucinda GRIFFIN. He was in Co. G, 48th Regt."Slappy Guards." It says he died in a Railroad accident. Was he in service at the time of his death? Where is he buried? Was he married and if so what was her name? Did he have children? Answers to any of these questions would be appreciated. Additional information would be appreciated too. Thanks, Rose

Previous posting from Ray and Donna Riley: <d_riley@mail.rdu.bellsouth.net> "SOLOMON, ALSTON - I am descended from SAMUEL SOLOMON who was born 1798 in TN. In 1820, Samuel Solomon is a single man and the only SOLOMON listed in the Robertson County, TN census. The WILLIAM SOLOMON in nearby Sumner County, TN is roughly the same age as SAMUEL and might possibly be a brother. Between 1820 and 1823, SAMUEL SOLOMON married ELIZA BENTON and they proceed to have 14 children and spend the remainder of their lives in Robertson County, TN.. SAMUEL SOLOMON died in Robertson County, TN in the spring of 1861. The most likely prospect as the father of SAMUEL SOLOMON appears to be ALSTON (AUSTIN, OLSTAN, etc) SOLOMON who was born 1775-1780 at a location unknown. ALSTON SOLOMON is in Bedford County, TN on October 22, 1811 when he grants a power of attorney for his wife Phebe Browning Solomon related to a potential inheritance in Caswell County, NC. Athough Phebe Browning was born in Caswell County, NC, I have not found any records that indicate that ALSTON SOLOMON was ever in Caswell County. On November 14, 1812, THOMAS SOLOMON appears as a potential juror in Robertson County, TN. I have not located any other record of THOMAS SOMOMON. There is a transfer of property from the SOLOMON heirs in 1822 in Robertson County. Thomas could possibly be the father of ALSTON SOLOMON. In November of 1814, AUSTIN SOLOMON serves as a security in Robertson County, TN. AUSTIN SOLOMON purchased property in Robertson County and continues to appear regularily in Robertson County, TN records through 1822. However, ALSTON SOLOMON appears in the 1820, 1830 and 1840 census for Bedford County, TN. I would very much like to share information with anyone researching any of these SOLOMON names." --------------------- Donna, I am wondering if this can be part of the same family: Descendants of Samuel Solomon Generation No. 1 1. This posting interested my since my husbands ggggrandfather, John G. Solomon, was born somewhere in S.C. in 1797. So far, we've been unable to connect him to other Solomon lines. He was married to a Sarah. Wonder if he connects to this German family. Marilyn Solomon
I found this site on the Internet. When you go to it click on Arthur Fort, Jr. and it will go to Martha Fort. She was the first wife of Peter Solomon, son of Lazarus Solomon (1765). Just thought someone might like to see it. Rose http://www.newnorth.net/~wbouline/d196.htm#P707
