A good E-mail from Peter Dooley after a very frustrating session. 1837.online has been great and has got me miles down the road on every family branch but their 1861 census was a disaster. All got married in the 1850's, I have their marriage certificates so I know they are there but not on the 1861 search facility. I can only conclude that they were badly transcibed. Any body else think the same, no alternative but a visit to the reference library which is not too far away. British origins was my next port of call, my first try. Any tips on getting started. I log on then they want me to log on again. I search from the front page then I have to pay or go through the repeat SOG log on. I thought it was free up to 72 hours! Any body tryed the Irish links.
