    3. Merryl I think you are unlikely to get anything very meaningful from these rolls. The key piece of information that you do have is that he served in 2 Welsh. Information about individuals who were not officers rarely made it into official or regimental records in my experience. However you could look on the National Archives website for the war diary of the 2 Welsh. Depending on the diligence of the officer who maintained the diary, usually the adjutant, you could find out some of the day to day activities in which they were involved. The diaries are downloadable at no cost. The regimental museum may also have further information.
